Realities of Handmade Items

All the memorial art we make is 100% completely handmade. No automated or mechanized devices interact with the materials we use. We use only human hands and breath aided by wooden and steel tools. The same tools that were common in a glass foundry 300 years ago. Because each item we make is made using traditional methods, we want you to know that each piece will carry the unique characteristics only found in hand-formed items. Upon close view, you can see that the colors and blending patterns, overall shape and the items like the lid and the foot are different from piece to piece.

While we provide pictures of our styles, colors and palettes, we want you to know that the item you will receive will be different. While some differences will be subtle, almost to unnoticeable levels, some will be more visible. We assure you that these are not defects. Rather, each “difference” is your assurance that the memorial you have received is truly yours and yours alone, never to be reproduced.

We hope you see these variances as your personal connection with the artist who made your piece for just you and your family.

Sealing Your Urn

After receiving your American MemoryCraft memorial urn and placing its precious contents inside, you might wonder how to seal it. Our video has useful information about the best way to do this.

Heights and Niches

Aside from our Deco urn style, all our full-size adult urns are made to fit into a standard 12″ niche. These urns are guaranteed to have sufficient capacity to contain the industry standard volume of 220 cubic inches of cremains. Because not all niches are standard sizes, we also make smaller urns to accommodate niches that won’t fit our standard size urns. The capacity of these smaller urns will vary.

We also make keepsake urns so family members can share smaller amounts of their loved one’s ashes to keep in a beautiful glass vessel.
